nah... it is explicit genocide, and the deliberate destruction of every civilian possible. Everyone knows what's going on.

> deliberate destruction of every civilian possible.

Clearly not? Sometime like 2% of gazans have been killed. IDF could kill many many more if it wanted.

You mean until April 2024 I assume because that's when the statistics end due to Israel blowing up the statistics department.

no, they can't. it's their maximum geoncide capacity

I don't think the goal is to kill every Palestinian. It's more of a flagrant disregard for Palestinian life. Those are different things.

Imagine this was Jerusalem and someone made a similar comment.

What would you respond?

You just described all cities in Israel, only they've been hyper-militarized since Nakba, the ethnic cleansing on Palestine in 1948. Israel has mandatory conscription and most of its inhabitants serve or have served in the IDF.

I was not aware that every city in Israel has an extensive military tunnel network. Is that the case?

If Hamas were to take one of those tunnel cities and Israel were doing guerrilla warfare from them I wouldn't blame Hamas for bulldozing.

Israel does have mandatory conscription. They also have a firm and visible distinction between when someone is serving in the military and when they are civilian. While in the military they're all fair targets, and if they're not serving, and at a music festival, they're not.

Israeli cities have far more threatening military infrastructure than tunnels. They literally have nuclear weapons.

> They also have a firm and visible distinction between when someone is serving in the military and when they are civilian.

When you murder someone and squat on their land, you're not a "civilian". When someone murders your family and steals your land, you don't have to dress up in any particular outfit to defend yourself.

>Israeli cities have far more threatening military infrastructure than tunnels. They literally have nuclear weapons.

And Hamas is permitted, as per the rules of war, to target that military infrastructure. If Israel has co-located it with civilian buildings, and attacks miss their targets, then too-bad for Israel.

>When you murder someone and squat on their land, you're not a "civilian".

This is very arguable for the West Bank settlers, but the Israeli civilians that were targeted by October 7 are not settlers and are in very solid Israeli land from a conflict 80 years prior. Arguing that all civilians in Israel proper are valid targets makes you no better than Smotrich and Ben-gvir, and you are essentially advocating for the genocide of Israelis.

Which is your right to do, I guess, but that's certainly not going to convince the (nuclear armed, remember) Israelis to moderate and compromise, or actually bring about justice for Palestinians.

> When someone murders your family and steals your land, you don't have to dress up in any particular outfit to defend yourself.

Military uniforms are for the protection of civilians. If you forgo them, then your civilians will receive more harm. Israel is responsible for their actions and many war crimes, but Hamas is responsible for theirs.

Zionists are not civilians, they're literally living on stolen land. It doesn't matter that they've been stealing it for 80 years, it's not their land and the relatives of the people they murdered have every right to defend themselves and get their land back, by any means necessary.

If that's the way you want the conflict to be sorted, which is a genocide competition, then Israel will win that competition. I assume you don't want that? "You're on stolen land and you've done it this time with the genocide, Israel, now you have to dissolve yourself and migrate back to Poland, Brooklyn and Iraq" is not a realistic ultimatum to deliver to a nuclear armed state established precisely because it's citizens experienced centuries of persecution living as scattered minorities.

Israel under Netanyahu has done plenty to criticise but I would actually like to see an Israel/Palestine deal not the West following both sides into radicalisation.

Give him 6 months... usually it takes a bit to change things around (including marketing / pr presentations).

But, he has been part of Apple for too long, and probably has internalized that style.

Hope he brings good change though...

Was this written by AI?

My experience, with the latest models, they do write code that looks correct/polished, but often do not fully solve the problem, or solve the wrong thing, or introduce un-needed complexity. By often, I mean at least 10%-15%, which is still a high enough error rate, that you don't want to let loose in even a trivial service, let alone a service that is on the critical side.

For now humans are absolutely needed in the loop.

same... mine works great...

I still use my M1 Pro Macbook... for iOS development. It still works amazing well, and the battery still is holding strong. For large apps, compiling can be a tad slow, but for medium and small apps it still works amazingly well.

Eventually I will upgrade, but for me the M1 Pro Macbook (14") has to be the best computer of the last two decades.

Before that, I had the butterfly Intel version, and that was a disaster. Apple just cooked with the M1+ line...

My 14" M1 Pro out of nowhere just died on me in May after 3 years and 11 months. 'Bad luck' was the verdict of the Apple store. This never happened to me since my first G4 tower. I now have the M5 Pro since i'm stuck in the ecosystem, but i'm still a little spooked.

My M1 Air also died out of nowhere after 4 years

This is silly.... most of the world didn't live in england.

All cultures (including mine), have a way to warn kids, or adults for not to stay too long in the sun. From normal sunburn, to feeling light-headenes/fainting due to heat excaustion, etc.

In the winter was the opposite. (stay in the sun to get some sunlight and not get sick).

So, they knew, and had nothing to do with 'class'. Also, they knew some sun was good/beneficial, especially during the winter.

Pale beauty is a phenomenon across geography. What correlation a society works out is largely lost in the cycles of avoiding the sun being a relative luxury until you get expensive air travel.

Again... you are confusing second order effects, with the primary reason.

We have an old saying "te rafte pika e diellit", may you get a spot, sun spot, aka cancer from the Sun.

People knew excessive sun is unhealthy.... if you could you avoid it during the summer. It was not necessary to make you look 'rich'. Ability to avoid it, meant you were rich. And people wanted to be pale, because you look rich, that is a second order effect, that came because of the original reason (aka, too much sun is unhealthy).

The correlation looks right so all people who have rituals like telling their children not to look poor really understand and later communicate the truth? Is this true for religious stigmas related to food too?

I think you are retro analyzing and presuming individual intelligence because this collective result looks right to you. Really, some people understand some risks and many people who can follow taboos they can afford are not exactly sure what they would learn first hand and what part is superstition.

Of course. When I went remote, I could work from Miami during the winter, and escape the NYC cold months. Going for a swim to your buildings roof pool after done with the day, was the best feeling ever.

Of course I am going to score higher in the well being department. :)

SwiftData is just a framework that you can choose to ignore and not use at all. Even CoreData. You can go straight to the source, and use some small layer on top of SQLite, and ignore that noise (most large apps just do that).

But, SwiftUI is being pushed as the way to do UI, and as a replacement for UIKIt/the future of apple, where it is not even near feature parity with it. That's the most troubling part of it.

I wished apple just made it as a Template Rendering framework, and integrated wit with UIKit, and just modernized UIKit a bit.

Just use manual layout / frames dude, like a caveman. (ps. Many successful large apps do just that, including Instagram, and some of Spotify, where I worked).

Dude, you didn't describe MVC at all, but MMVC.

MVC, the controller is the intermediary between the services/data models, and the views. That still one of the best / simplest way to build large apps. MMVC is just a variation of it, with the models being able to communicate state to views and bypass controller if needed.

MVC, is still one of those 'fundemental as simple as it gets, and it gets the job done' patterns.

Dude, what I describe is exactly MVC.

Your interpretation is a common misconception, for example promulgated by Apple. It is not MVC.
