Google has also decided they really don’t like users installing apps outside the Play Store. Today it’s a bunch of scary warnings, soon it’s a convoluted process to enable all installs and eventually they probably just ban it all together.
Literally nothing about Android is worth while to me now. iPhones are more stable , easier to use and have vastly better end user support.
The App Store is also a living hell for developers. They will look for any excuse to deny you an account and later reject your app.

Contracts are agreements, generally speaking most people and companies do not want to drag people in them, telcos excluded. All the termination clauses are put there, again in general, to provide some security to either party, not to entrap the other, again telcos mostly excluded.
If you don't want to be in a contract especially one just signed, typically most people will typically understand and let you of the hook, as long as entrapment is not their business model like telcos. This is mostly reflected in common cool-off period provisions, i.e provisions in the contract to terminate within a week or two.

Why the hell would you do that? Isn't the point of going to a restaurant of that caliber the whole experience and not just the eating? Like the server has been trained to discuss the dishes on offer and can give you information not on the menu, right?
I ask this not having eaten at a Michelin starred restaurant, but having eaten at some otherwise very nice ones. Hell, if I can't make up my mind at a perfectly run-of-the-mill joint, I'll ask the server for the recommendation.
I'm not sure how prevalent it really is, but there is a mini-genre on social media of waiters and waitresses being baffled by this phenomenon. I'd say it's a natural continuation of the erosion of social skills and the comfort of not having to communicate or be awkward or be seen as ignorant. People already shifted to takeaways and ordering to home even from "regular" sitdown restaurants, enabled by Wolt, Uber Eats etc.
Now, regarding the "point", I guess going there in person but not interacting much with the server is mainly about being able to say they went there and that they can post about it on social media and feel like they are keeping up with the Joneses.
If it’s a trend on social media than it’s most likely staged for some views or happens to a very little, very niche and irrelevant share of people and is being blown out of proportion because… you guessed it: views.
Well I haven’t seen modern asymmetric encryption being broken by an LLM. Would be interesting if one should use a a couple million dollar worth of tokens an throw it against Ed25519 to see if those elliptic curves are actually save.
Hmm, in theory with enough compute anything is possible. But if LLMs keep getting better at the same rate it’s very possible they’ll find an exploit or something.

That 10 USD isn't for you , it's for an immigrant from a less affluent country. The Philippines for one. Although Japan also has a significant South Asian population.

As for defense spending. The only issue is its not homegrown tech. Looks like Mitsubishi is actually working on a 6th gen fighter though.

There is no solution needed. Populations go up and down, there is no need to for the arrow to always go up and to the right, particularly for overcrowded places like Japan and China. Japan with 50 million Japanese would be a much nicer place, just as China with 500 million Chinese would result in each of those people being happier. Let nature take its course.

The reality is that Japan (and countries following a similar path) are strangling the younger generation by saddling them with generational debt. They become responsible for taking care of an older population, with no guarantee of their own future as their own ability to retire vanishes and income goes to zero. It should be no surprise that the older block also votes to protect itself, as politicians skew far older than the rest of the citizenry. The result of 'nature taking its course' is a complete collapse of the government. In the long term this is certainly a solution but not a particularly good one.
An argument could be made that a slow gradual decline would help ease these issues but you would need to convince people twice your age to willingly give up their benefits and things they worked for and were promised. What are the odds that you think that will work out?
The only reason a solution is needed is because a problem was created by promising old people a ton of benefits. To deliver those benefits or expected quality of life, the country has to allocate a greater and greater proportion of the country’s productivity to old people.
Obviously, this means less purchasing power for younger people, and they might not like that so much.
Imagine if in the best scenario Japan is going to stop borrowing. Reducing the population will drive debt ratio up. Good luck to the next generation, say thank you to your grandparents who borrowed from you.
The issue is companies love to fire QA people who should be the ones testing these.

I have no sympathy for any major corp who suffers data loss. Now individuals who lost grandmas wedding photos, that sucks.
But my recovery strategy for that is simple. After scanning I emailed it out to one cousin who emailed them out to a few more. Plus I have a cloud backup ( I have no idea where the the original files are).
