What kind of machine does one need to run this model? What's the usual setup someone would have for running this?

Wow those are some nice applications! Thanks for sharing this!

You're right that some are way too acidic and astringent. Usually the kind that you'd age for longer and have more complexity would make poor juice but excellent wines.

There are plenty of varieties of grapes that do well as juice and wine. It's just the type of wine that you'd age very little because it would lose the acidity and temperament too quickly if aged.

What's wrong with mentioning it?

Ask it to be critical of the birthday photos and see where that gets you.

can you elaborate?

Elon's mother recently posted an AI-generated photo of her son's birthday party. The tag indicating such was scrubbed as soon as it was pointed out.

As stated by another comment Elon Musk's mother posted an AI-edited photo marked as such. It got edited right away to remove that label.

There are ample reasons to believe that Elon Musk is running his mother's account and that the photos weren't even real putting in question that he even had a birthday party.

If you ask Grok about what this means it will always take Elon's defence. It will vehemently deny that Elon would be capable or willing participant of such a thing even if you point out that he faked being a world class gamer, buying accounts that had done all the work and showing none of the skills when live-streaming.

> There are ample reasons to believe that Elon Musk is running his mother's account

Yeah, I'm sure the guy has time to run his mom's social media account. What's your reasons or evidence? Did you consider maybe it's a social media manager one of them hired running the account?

Some of their arguments are more than just naive ones.

They argue that LLMs are stealing our culture to feed it back to us. Can we really argue that they didn't make use of everything we wrote and said online to train their data?

Where did you see this? The only claim I saw from the article was that 1 prompt uses 16oz of water, which is obviously false if you do any level of research

So what's the solution? Another rent-seeking system where any future information an AI learns about the world has to be carefully attributed for the possibility that someone might take a piece. A whole patent-troll/music industry style mass buy up of AI information rights with a team of lawyers sending out DMCA warnings hooked into every harness.

Does it get paid out on training or is it like music where if the model output is vaguely similar to something someone else created they get a royalty.

Imagine actually asking permission to use other people's work to train AI. Imagine respecting the answer of "no".

Even if the solution is difficult, I don't think that justifies theft.

> They argue that LLMs are stealing our culture to feed it back to us.

How is that any different from what media already did.

Most of Disney's original material was European cultural stories.

I agree with you, and also wish the wakeup call had come when the Mouse locked up our culture. (Copyright Act of 1976 Shifted the framework to the life of the author plus 50 years, Or 1998 Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act pushed individual protection to the life of the author plus 70 years)

Maybe now the wakeup call is loud enough to actually wake more people?

There's a rather large difference in scale for a start.

Indeed. Disney's cultural impact has been far greater.

Actual humans were involved in that process, implying creativity, intent, craftsmanship went into the final work, not just a mechanical process.

I mean, the CEO of Microsoft would agree with them:

Yeah honestly, I see a future where people start suing for reparations over things like this.

The different names have different meanings and help make decisions on which to use.

Omni means you can use multiple types of input and have multiple types of outputs like audio, video, images and text. Flash means that it is built for speed and smaller than the more complete ones.

I have no recollection of ever hearing about this problem before. It doesn't sound like it had an army of people attempting it but cool nonetheless that we found the solution.

And because driving is slower and less convenient than public transit there. Seriously in Berlin, Paris or London I would prefer the public transit options in nearly all of my trips.

Ah yes, Europe is just one big city.

Diesel increased in price because truck drivers couldn't afford not to drive their truck. The cartel as well as the distributors are extracting all the value they can at every step. That is why diesel has increased so much.
