Their backup DNS service is great, so you can run your own DNS with just one server.

https://nic.eu.org/ is also very cool for getting a domain name if paying for one is a challenge.

https://nic.eu.org is very nice but I haven't been able to register a domain there for a long time now

Not the case for chromium and ungoogled-chromium... at least I can't find them in packages-stable directory.

Thank you, I think you are correct. Compare:

https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports-cvs&s=ungoogled-chromium

To:

https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports-cvs&s=firefox-esr

You will see that the Firefox patches are tagged for -release/-stable and the Chromium ones are not.

GeFS is in the works. I hope it gets into the tree some day:

Thats great to hear! I also love the title for this talk about it:

GEFS: The File Shredder of the Future. https://events.eurobsdcon.org/2026/talk/NVMSCJ/

And don't forget to cross your fingers so the upgrade does not break your system... like what happened to me when systemd came out.

What a nice surprise! It would be great if it finally gets integrated into OpenBSD tree. Corruption Detection and Crash Safety will be more than welcomed here.

I can't complain about FFS since it has been fully reliable for me. I have been directly powering off my obsd router for years and never had a problem... in the worst case if I use a very old and semi broken USB drive I have to access console and manually fsck -y some partitions, that's it.

I dig the GEFS acronym and concept too.

Best resource for proper HTML+CSS development is Jason Knight AKA deathshadow's CUTCODEDOWN (cutcodedown.com at Web archive) and his articles at Medium and CodePen (user Jason Knight).

How is an archived web site supposed to be a good resource on modern html and css development exactly?

The principles are the same: deliver content in an accesible way separating content from presentation, and if needed use javascript to improve usability, not to hijack basic site functionality.

Unfortunately he died in 2024, that's why the website is down. His last articles are available at Medium: https://deathshadow.medium.com/

These ones are a good starting point to develop accesible websites:
