The irony will be that after all the fearmongering about China winning the AI arms race, it'll be good ol' Chinese manufacturing and IP theft that allows them to win and vanquish America as a threat.

This holds for all good performance art. I suck at writing in general and I'd suck even more at writing the scenario and support materials for performance art.
(I mean sure from sibling comments I get that this is, in fact, not performance art but you gotta admit that if it were it'd be damn good!!!)
Part of this is baked into the experience though, if "ads" here are trailers for upcoming films. I don't know if theaters are now showing ads for products, I haven't been in forever.
I am willing to accept trailers but the split is closer to 25 minutes of random shit + 5 minutes trailers. Let's be generous and say that I'm misremembering & it's actually 20 + 10. That's still 20 minutes of ads that I'm paying to watch.
I've been in multiple car accidents this year, none of them my fault. Commuting might actually be the death of me, I can't express to a future employer how much I'm willing to trade just to not have to do it anymore. Doesn't help that I deal with some of the worst traffic in America...
If people wanted to listen to Cassandras, or more broadly, people who don't have the power to make or stop changes but are voicing consent or considerations -- they would far more often, as that is very easy to do.
Corporate culture is especially nearly designed to never give Cassandras the time of day.
Why wouldn't people just write the agent off as 'broken'? Would this agent learn to keep most of it's responses to itself or end up actually broken/drifting as a result of having good advice ignored?
