Just a few days ago Spain is still in riot mode. The next protest is going to be on 31th October apparently.
This is gonna add fuel to the fire, and as I lived in East Asia (Hong Kong to be specific) I'm kind of curious why it all happened around the eurozone lately.
France, Albania, Belgium, Spain, Greece, UK and Serbia recently (although it is not eurozone but closely related anyway as part of the great Balkans). What's left? Germany and Poland I guess?
Anyhow it really reminds me of the First World War
because it is symptom of Sanchez government, two high speed train crashes within a year, his minister not resigning, throw there high living expenses, no wonder Spaniards protest
I love parser combinators so much. Those are possible because parsing itself exhibits monadic structure, it forms transition monoid, of its more well known name as the semiautomaton in the world of CS.
Reverse engineering dynamic dispatches like vtable and fat pointers/slices and traits would be hell. Different padding and compiler settings also contribute a lot.
One of the few problem is that the decompiler is not always reliable. That forces you to go read the assembly, and it is not apparent to decipher the right kind of feng shui, not even from human before the LLM era. I used to play CTFs and my conclusion is exactly that.
This is extremely apparent when there are self-modifying code (e.g. JIT) is involved. You need a stepping debugger to read the right control flow, because the code will diverge based on the instruction pointer and regions you jumped into. At this point static analysis like IDA and Ghidra stopped working.
IANAL but unfortunately the law isn't really in Nitter's favor, as Elon could easily win the fight that Nitter can be considered as a read-only scrapping mirror, which itself makes total sense why Elon tries to C&D it since it is a loophole for other AI companies, probably especially OpenAI, to read the feeds for free.
tl;dr Elon's ground can easily be that there is an official paid service that let's you read the feeds unrestricted (this will be a good counter-challenge however IMO) while Nitter tried to run around it. So the First Amendment defense from Nitter should be shit outta luck
I know, but it doesn't seems to be in the RFC yet. RFC creates specs and agreements between the protocol and it makes it officially acceptable for clients to start consider respecting it.
I'm running a Matrix server using https://github.com/matrix-construct/tuwunel as an alternative to IRC, but I missed the lean-and-mean of IRC since Matrix is full on event driven delivery like XMPP/Jabber.
IRCv3 are the consensus-based standards body for modern IRC and has ratified the WebSocket spec. Its very unlikely there will be another IRC RFC because getting anything through the IETF is a bureaucratic nightmare. I was a reviewer for the draft IRC-CTCP RFC and it eventually died because the IETF wanted external reviewers who didn't work on the spec and that just didn't exist.
Pretty much soon. Nuvia's design has been incorporated into 8 Elite and X Elite/Plus series. It was generational leaps ahead of 8 Gen 3, where 8 Elite is already close to Apple M1.
I'm looking for a cheap 8 Elite phone to root it and run a special kernel module that let me run LXC containers and run arbitrary Linux ARM64 program. And run a couple of services on it, maybe I can port Kubernetes whatsoever
MongoDB is a natural choice if you are working with denormalized deeply hierarchical data structure like JSON. It is also natural to JavaScript devs since the shell itself is JavaScript. This makes it super effective on modern web framework although I recently switched to Drizzle
I indirectly use TLA+ through https://github.com/quint-co/quint. I added instructions that "before you implement any feature, please use Quint to model it and make sure no counterexample for the system as a whole, reiterate the design with Quint as well and make sure your documents and implementation follows the formal model and docs".
The result, while takes much longer, is quite magical. A lot of transaction and atomic bugs were found and fixed just by having such simple instruction alone.
However, sometimes it is not all magical especially around external resources. Cloudflare, unfortunately, sometimes have hiccups on D1 and KV with timeout, which is more or less a force majeure.
Fortunately, that means I will have to model the action as a binary event, that the transaction may not complete as we would have thought guaranteed, and by add extra guard around it, so that the state would have to be retried.
I was able to workaround it like that so far. Keep in mind the more conditions and constraints, the beefier your CPU might need since it is on the scale of NP
I also like to explicately state in the prompt that, "the work is not complete until all Quint specifications pass 'quint verify'." If the model just uses "quint run" it still might miss issues.
