He has shifted his focus to the financials, and they are seeing his predictions of failures for these AI and data center companies failures as validation that AI is all hype.
To me the AI stuff is scarily good now, don't see many software jobs holding up for long and other fields will follow, and he might be right about the financials but it doesn't change anything to me the AI is here, getting better and better and is going to take our jobs.

Meanwhile Chinese EV maker Nio has built over three thousand battery swap stations. We can speculate all we want about Tesla's motives, endlessly entertaining as that is, but the fundamental idea was sound.
They got about $300 million in extra regularory credits for that demo. The government shut the loophole in 2014 after it became obvious Tesla was faking it and no real Tesla drivers were benefiting.

Doesn't make sense for them to give away weights. They sell their own service using that and killing the competition (that they have a stake in) isn't in their interest either because their cloud growth is based on other companies' continuing heavy investment in this space.
