I wonder if FDroid has a policy against LLM? i was reading one of the MR here https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroidclient/-/merge_requests/1729 and they seem to gate on LLM contributions (and vibe coded android app)?

In summary of this MR: no, they do not ban AI

lol @ 'ai;dr' to a 2 line PR, anti-ai people really are just bullies now

Been using Brave Search now for a while including its Brave AI and aside of sporadic times I never needed Google (albeit Brave Search is slower to Google, you get used to it)

i think there is a name clash here, i like fx the json viewer https://github.com/antonmedv/fx (20.6k star on gh)

Aside of if it's right or not (i actually think it is), the bag is out in the open, anyone any countries, any bad person or security persons are going to look at it now

If a country wants to ban private open source communication, then they do not deserve to enjoy the benefits of modern technology.

i wonder how many people are using haikuos enough to make frontpage of video game on that os ?

When people get doom running on a toaster, do you also ask how many people game on a toaster? It's more about the technical challenge of the whole deal.

I wonder how many people are flying to space in rockets for rocket launches to make the frontpage? It's just interesting. Haiku is cool, and getting relatively complex games to run on it is a good signal that it is making progress.

I love it, this is OG hacker news

Add in the number of people who have fond memories of BeOS

.o/

But then what did you expect?
