I am working on making a home manager over text. You text your shopping list as you remember things to buy and when you want to order, you text fulfill. I am using Kroger api behind the scene and reasoning over items that are returned, best picks are the ones that you have already ordered before and the first time item picks are governed by the family preferences you have texted.
There is no website so no UI to maintain, it is just text. You text ‘connect’ to the number, it asks you zip code and once your store is set, all you do then is to text the items. I have been including things like texting ‘seasonal’, which picks the seasonal items and add to your shopping cart. I am having a lot of fun with it since it is hot in Seattle , peaches are in season and the home manager ‘made’ me a peach burrata salad.
Currently only works if your main store is in the QFC/Kroger family. Email in bio if you would like to try!
I am working on hammer https://thehammer.io/ , it is a voice device that I have build and have been using for past several months for texting and getting answers to my questions via AI chatbots.
I started with the idea of replacing my phone with a texting device that can still keep me connected but realized phone has became utilitarian that it is not possible to replace it.
I still have to take my phone when I am outside but when I am home or at work, I now use hammer exclusively to text or to get answers. The most benefit I have got is that I don’t have the urge to open my phone and go on endless scrolling binge.
