Sorry but AirBnB was used for exploiting Berlin rents for years. Lots of ppl renting 5+ apartments and blocking them from locals who needed places to stay. The mother of an acquaintance had to move out of Berlin into Brandenburg bc she couldn’t get a normal rental contract anymore after a lifetime in the city. She was low income on disability retirement.

It’s not Elon Musk in this garage who have conceived this car, it’s an entire teams full of people.

Because if we go into this the Apollo mission has employed literal old Nazi scientists, but nobody say today “Apollo mission was a bad thing” because of that.

I don’t care if the innovation come from somebody who doesn’t share my point of view or the other way, the innovation is the only thing to matter in this case.

Anyone else think Covid exacerbated this problem?

I really think it did. After covid i moved to Asia where the measures were a lot more intense (3 month house arrest), and a lot of people are traumatised by it, you would think that people would go out and go wild, but the opposite seems true. Plus phones, AI (people ask AI first), the economy and size of the cities (lack of access to third spaces, if you dont consider 711..) all contributes. Now this is from my perspective. I have some friends who are out and about every day, but the majority either seems to sit at home broke or work their ass off.
