Yea, Fastmail checks all the boxes, and is well-regarded around here as far as I know. I have used it for something like 7-8 years now and am very happy with it.

Same -- fastmail is excellent and great value.

An example of a company that does exactly what I pay them to do and respects me as a customer.

Same here. Fastmail is great. The only thing that bothers me is not having a family plan so I can cheaply give my kid his own inbox in due time.

Although to be fair, I welcome competition, and I like seeing people end up with other solutions. I would hate it if Protonmail and Fastmail were the only viable services offering this.

Wait, but Fastmail does have family plan, introduced 2 years ago. Just letting you know :)

GR is gazoo racing, the Toyota performance line. From what I know it’s not just a badge.

Unfortunately, they just started diluting that moniker with the GR Rav4.

Yea, that is sad, just read up on it. Next thing you know it'll just be badges. If they were going to add electricity they should have gone for a full EV performance car, IMO. A PHEV is worse than either EV or ICE alone.

Oh my goodness lol

Naval vessels are some of the most maintained machines in the world. They get hauled out for hull repairs routinely, or put into long term maintenance facilities for months while they are repaired. Probably second only to airplanes and space craft.

Same but for Safari. I use it as my daily driver and rarely get issues related to unsupported APIs. Everything seems to work fine, the only issues I ever hit are related to the Apple VPN.

I’m surprised that people expect no change over 30 years. Of course a show like SNL will change, it’s the cast of Theseus.

The show wouldn't be the same even if they had the same cast. People change as they get old, the humour changes as well. As people say: the only constant in life is change.

Why not link it here so we can all read their report

Yea but those mass lawsuits won't happen or matter until after midterms at this point, so even if they did illegal stuff in the end the votes will have been suppressed successfully. In a war, if you do a war crime, the dead are still dead even if the person who committed the war crime is accountable later. In politics, if they do a criminal act like this, they win an election and never have to account for their actions, because their side won and won't call them to account.

Yeah its part corruption and the weaponized taboo of second guessing election results.

I'm convinced that even if there were large scale concerns about the legitimacy elections in the USA, they would quitely be puy to rest because God forbid we ever reckon with the fact yhat the USA might not be a perfect democracy, cant taint the image.

Anyone looking to tamper with elections now knows they can just equivalate anyone who challenges them with Jan 6ers types.

Tbf, democracy in this country is fundamentally broken when you have 4 companies that control the media and have a ton of control over how people see the world.

> I'm considering working on this full time. If you have some advice or opportunities on how I can support myself doing this, let me know!

Make it easy for non-technical users to also use this software. That will probably get you further along with gaining paid customers, IMO, because that's the hard part with something like this. It's easy for anyone who isn't used to `git` to use GitHub issues or something like Jira or Shortcut, but something tied to `git` or another cli tool is a hard sell for non-programmers, I think.

Make a program users can install on their MacOS/Windows desktop that interacts with a repository, without any need for the user to use `git`, or make a secure/hardened docker image that an org can run in their infra that links to repos and allows interaction via the web.

Too bad having their names associated with this immoral politicking won’t cause them problems. An employee stealing a few hundred bucks would get a felony and probably never work a good job again. Founders stealing hundreds of millions from workers get to say whoopsie.

Not even a whoopsie. Look how many responders here defend this exploitative behavior that is only enabled through monopolization as "the market regulates this", or "nobody forces them to buy/work there". Pure libertarian brain rot, no better than the communists they always cry about.

Let’s waste precious energy to save 30 seconds twice a day. A remote control is apples to oranges here.

Time is more precious then energy for a great number of people. Which includes a lot of Porsche drivers I'm guessing.

Well they’re paying for their extra time with the destruction of our planet we rely on to survive so fuck em

Still a hell of a lot better than the twin turbo V8 that's in the high-end gas Cayenne

Maybe your remotes run on fairy dust but the rest of ours run on alkaline batteries.

The losses from this charger are nearly the same as the losses from a wired charger.

It’s a 10% loss in addition to the normal losses

That's not what's written in the article.

The article is very much not clear if that 90% is talking about round trip or just the efficiency of the wireless charging in addition to the usual charging losses.

Applying a little common sense with experiences of other wireless chargers, its most likely just the losses of the wireless charging solution.
