I used to love the mini-itx form factor. For the time, lots of features in a compact space. I think micro atx might be a more popular form factor now?

MicroATX has almost certainly always been more popular than MiniITX.

MicroATX motherboards are usually cheaper than ATX or MiniITX and you can typically use normal PSUs and optical drives instead small ones that are more expensive and have fewer options.

You can always put a mini ITX board in a full size ATX case if you want though...

Yes, doubled if you meant... To calculate the next generation I dumped the current (vga memory) after the grid is rendered to a buffer in memory and calculating the next one right to video memory back.

There’s secondary effects from not using their platform to consider as well. There’s several applications (open and closed source) I used recently that moved all their support (email/forums) to discord.

Isn’t the most overused trope the most statistically weighted to be chosen from a group of options? It makes technical sense but as you say leads to boring outcomes

If given an underspecified option, yes. Which is why it's good to specify options.

I see what you mean, but I think you can draw (no pun intended) a distinction between trope following and having a skill, or at least should notionally be able to.

That's not how I read the linked thread. The linked thread sounds like the JSON file also has metadata attached to it.

Since it's a JSON file, I wonder what's actually inside, and why the blog post doesn't mention opening it with a text editor.
