Got my PebbleTime 2 about two months ago. I like it for tracking my exercise, heart rate, calendar, and time. My favorite is the alarm which is capable of vibrating when the watch suspects you are not at the deepest point in your sleep.
I feel people like that are unpleasant to be around. Sorry for you friend.
Is anything with the pebble time able to capture heart rate for historical data analysis? Anything that can show graphs that you know of?
I've got the pixel watch and I'm using Fitbit for this currently, but it's way too expensive for all I'm using it for. I really just want historical heart rate at the moment plus basic exercise tracking, and of course being able to tell the time. Media controls are a huge plus as well.
Someone I used to associate with was always really switched on with these things. Many things he said in the past that sounded a bit extreme or conspiratorial, turned out to be the real deal years later. Always interesting in retrospect.
The one thing he always said is, they have always been watching and know who is who, what these things do is allow it to be entered into the court of law. Now they can act on these things.
I mean, I wasn't even thinking at that level. It's been about 10 years since Facebook forced everyone to verify their identity. The only difference now is there is a push to codify it into law.
Definitely being unreasonable, but that's one of the reasons I don't have an electric vehicle yet. I'm paranoid of that thing catching fire in my garage. Which is ironic since one of my random electronic devices with li-batteries probably could catch fire regardless in my house. At least with a gasoline it seems we are better equipped to deal witg such fires.
Overall my end goal is to have a seperate storage for the e-vehicle.. Plus it be easier to slap some solar on that structure.
I understand the paranoia, but it is definitely emotional reasoning overriding facts. Gasoline powered vehicles are vastly more likely to go up in flames. Even when you adjust for age and mileage. Even if you only look at cars that spontaneously ignited when parked. The wiring in a gas car is exposed to a tremendous amount of heat and vibration.
EVs spontaneously igniting are newsworthy partly because politics, but also because it is novel. Gas vehicles burn daily, the odds are pretty good that a couple are burning somewhere right now.
