I didn't know the rocket company was getting into personal finance. https://www.stokespace.com/

No affiliation. Didn't know about them (at least not their logo). That's unfortunate...I will make some changes.

FWIW “stoke” in the context of personal finance conjures images of burning piles of cash, for me at least

Heh, not exactly what I was going for

Am I the only one that hates the decision to no longer support corepack?

pnpm 12 supports corepack (or better phrased - corepack supports pnpm 12).

they just don't recommend it.

nodejs stopped bundling corepack since node 25, maybe you're referring to that?

Is "pnpm installs the other package managers" what you're talking about, or something else? That doesn't quite read like removing corepack support to me, though I might be missing something obvious.

Same here. Corepack was fine and there is already too much churn

I migrated a Node 24 repo to pnpm 12 and it works absolutely fine with corepack out of the box.

It is node.js core that decided to drop corepack, now both yarn and pnpm are build own version of that.

First I'm hearing of it, and it does dampen my enthusiasm for v12 a bit.

Opus 5 is a trash model

OpenAI is partnering with Cerebras while simultaneously investing in their own silicon play. Hedged bets.

After sitting thru their keynote today, it makes sense. The main throughput speedups they tout are an obvious evolution of the GPU that all companies will be building in the next year. Wafer-scale interconnected memory and compute is just going to beat out mountains of network cabling any day on both cost and performance metrics.
