As a indie hacker(viber :) ) built mutiple tailscale based stuffs dated to the early days of tailscale, I like it but actually I do agree with you

There are too much features added now, perhaps some related to enterprise features because that must drive the revenue

Sometimes I am thiking perhaps they provide a light tailscale version but that seems not viable given the complexity now, headscale is great, but the OSS client still have plenty features, though they are gradually added feature based switch in the client source which I think is great, perhaps we can build a light version over it

This is also I do not think the tailscale-rs(which aim to rewrite tailscale with rust) will not be ready in a short time because too much (feature + cross platform) need to be tested

Thanks for sharing, seems 6.1 terra is indeed fast while I switch from the 6.1 sol when do automated test.

The article reminds me a Chinese music which strike me one day when I just find it on youtube music

Cann't say something more, but it just made me a bit sad, and feel some nostalgia, and find how times flies over the years

This first song is pretty western for Chinese music even if it is made by someone from China, which I am assuming it is I have no idea. Also this playslist has a lot of non-Chinese music in it, there's a Final Fantasy song for example, and likely quite a bit of AI generated music. I am not an expert in Chinese music but this doesn't seem very representative. I have a feeling this playlist makes you feel those ways because that was the feeling the person who put this together was going for, it just happens to have some songs from Chinese artists and was probably put together by someone who is Chinese.

It does not seem to be traditional Chinese music, at least. Or at least my understanding was that the major-minor tonality you can hear in the linked piece did not play a (any?) role in traditional Chinese music.

That was really good! Thanks for sharing. <3

Video 3 get a root shell agains 27.0.1 which is the latest iOS version installed on my lovely se3.

This really blown my mind, and seem the 1/2 video is installed a app by click pdf link?

I guess and hope there will be update from apple quickly

There are loads of these exploits which exist in the hands of private hacking groups and state organisations which have not been made public. Always assume your device is able to be compromised from those who have the motivation and dedication.

Haha, this is quite interesting to test if you need to update various of program (if they do not use the sys ca chain)

Why you want to do this on mobile or end device? If all the node is controlled by yourself I guess srv6 is indeed okay to use

But for ordinary user and mobile, and given the jitter of wireless network, seems it may cause unnecessary changes

But overall this is a neat project combine of technology I was fiddling and enjoy

> Why you want to do this on mobile or end device

mobile clients will lose a lot of features but i want ranet3 to FULLY replace other wg based solution (meaning DNS, control plane, sharing, etc)

On iOS platform, it's only limited to apple's browser engine, with chrome I get long time of various bookmarks saved/synced and send page to various devices(not limited to apple ecosystem), those benefits still not give strong reason to let me switch to safari

One thing I do not like is no native dark mode on chrome, but that's okay, I just do not use phone when I preparing to sleep

For the adblock/tracker issue, recently just added builtin DNS-based adblock (backed by several public block list) to my VPN app, it seems works well, given same engine and same network filtered by the same VPN, i guess they are same to me

Like the points in this presentation, recently I kept thinking it seems I need find the joy of fiddling and learning, not build some thing for money but for fun only.

Have been used some spare time to learn common lisp and write a manual project, still use web based AI as a quick search method.

But I managed to learn some common lisp and how to do cffi in common lisp and

- use gtk4 cffi binding to start a GUI app - write a ghostty cffi to encode/decode terminal escape sequences - write a libssh2 cffi to communicate with a ssh server

Hope I can build a minimal SSH Terminal using common lisp to keep on experiment and exploration

Seems aws also announced a sandbox solution

I used agent over 1 year and basically always give codex full permission on each thread, do not get issue so far

Why we need this layer of complexity? Or its mainly for big company that need control ?

It's very useful to ensure that code under test has limited access to resources both to avoid making a mess outside the intended workspace. Otherwise there's risk of deleting or killing stuff it shouldn't, or just using too much memory or CPU and causing OOM kill or other issues. If a runaway command turns into a nice error for the agent then it becomes something that will self-resolve without fuss.

A ~month ago, auto-review (rightfully) blocked a rm that would've nuked my home directory, due to shell mangling (amongst other issues).

The main usecase for an average developer is preventing confused agents making mistakes like removing sensitive folders, resetting git branches or using API tokens they shouldn't be using

If you have a custom agent in a product, then it needs isolation to be sure to protect the customer data.

People are running custom agents that are able to run custom code in production just like that ?

I’d personally opt for SELinux in such cases

The networking stack is actually used by many open source project such as tailscale

Hope this shift will make the project get sustainable and evolve fast
