Claude Pro. Mainly used for developing my apps Pagecord and Feedgrab, but also for personal stuff like diy problem solving. travel planning, data chores, etc.

I feel I get a wild amount of value out of £90/mo (paid for via my apps revenue)

I only find this is a problem when it writes code in a language I deeply understand. I can’t help but look at it, get the LLM to change it, etc. But when it writes me a Cloudflare worker in Typescript that I don’t understand, I couldn’t care less. It works, that’s good enough.

So I suppose we just have to care less and let it get on with it. Not easy tho, for sure.

Perhaps BigCorp is only just starting to use agentic dev properly. Plus they’ll have loads of bureaucracy still to get code out of the door. Might take another year or two.

Sad news. I’ve read his blog for forever, Bob was a total industry legend. Best wishes to his family

Should I stay on Sequoia? I’m seeing a few apps now required 26+ so I’m considering upgrading, but I don’t really want to tbh

> They talk to me in this grating LLM-voice, an uncanny valley of talking to a real human

It’s entirely possible to configure an LLM to talk to you in a different voice of your choosing, eg. “when responding, use a professional, formal, business tone of voice”.

Right. When I read this, I think it's a failure to embrace the tool, explore it, understand it, stress test it, and get creative with how to use it.

Has anyone actually signed up to tweet.app (twitter.now)? Thoughts?

I think the use case here is for people who have an iPhone as well as an iPad they use occasionally for reading/watching stuff, as well as business people / execs.

Now you can (sort of) have both in one device. Reading the rumours, I was completely disinterested. Now I’m actually tempting to ditch the iPad Pro and iPhone Pro and have a Duo replace both. I’m excited to have a go with one in the Apple Store.

Shame it’s so damn expensive!

I feel like we're not talking about this too much. This phone-o-tablet is the same price as base Macbook Pro. Let me reiterate: a foldable phone costs as much as Pro line computer. This is just crazy

Put a screen on that last 1/2 of the back and sell as Duo Max.

For me, the iPhone is the primary device I unlock and use in short burst 10's of times throughout the day.

The iPad (Mini) is something I use more deliberately, like twice per day to read the newspaper and to watch some video.

For me the Duo seems like you're suffering a lot for the first use case, just to make the second use case possible.

I think I'll stick with separate devices.

Yeah, I need to try this thing in my own hands to actually understand if it’s useable.

Very true (in my fifties). I’d also add in a hobby/passion, especially when you’re retired.

I've tried it via OpenCode and I'm impressed. So fast compared to Opus, and the results so far are comparable I'd say.
