I think they are fairly reliable if nothing else. Certainly not cheap or practical.

Just to be clear - claude -p use will now consume credits rather than count against your normal claude code usage? This seems like a significant downgrade.

this comment[1] seems clear that it will stay with subscription. Assuming they're authoritative of course.

The update they added here[1] yesterday makes it appear that usage is covered by your subscription by granting you credits. That's the way I'm reconciling the above comment with their update on the site.

I've been using this for probably six weeks. It just popped up as an option one day in Codex.

hows your experience been?

I've found it to be very helpful. A fairly painless approach for hosting a quick prototype.

I know there are a lot of recomp projects like this out there - are there any sites dedicating to aggregating them all and tracking their progress?

https://decomp.dev/ is probably (roughly) what you're looking for.

How long until we have a registry of all N64 titles and the progress to full decomp of the entire library?

There's roughly ~350 games. It took me about two weeks in this project (and it's a complex game, with lots of different screens), but I had to babysit the AI a lot because it would get stuck multiple times. With the cambrian explosion of recomps, we can expect that in the next couple of years.

"Number go up" people

Cooking a genuinely good steak also requires almost no skill. I can give you a chicken scratch note with 3 bullet points and it will come out nearly perfectly.

I was going to say the same thing. 2.5m per side+rotation plus another 2.5 plus or minus 20s depending on heat

But I actually got something out of this -- which is that maybe before now, humans had to soak up the complexity of where value was made in software. And you saw this in the highest and best paid engineers in science and platform teams and basically that you had to invest in brains where you thought the value in your product was.

Without humans managing complexity, you have no idea where you should be investing once the product grows out of the concept stage

Slight disagree, as many will heat their pan too high and burn the steak before it cooks through. Or maybe that was just me when I first learned how to cook steak the right way. ("Medium"/"medium-high" doesn't necessarily correlate to the position of the knob on the burner or whether the pan feels medium/medium-high)

True, what constitutes "Medium" on your individual stove is maybe the one single complicating factor! Otherwise it's:

- Cut steak in preheated oven at 250 degrees. - Pull at 125-130 degrees internal temp - Cook one minute per side in a skillet on medium heat

That's the real reason, that's not the actual argument.

Is CJal here supposed to be JCal by chance? I feel like that was close to 15 years ago, but I'm in the same boat. I used to listen to almost every show Twit put out, which was quite a bit.

My setup is sort of reversed. The powerful machine (framework desktop) is my headless AI machine and M1 mbp is my daily driver. Works well!

This machine is a good candidate for Damn Small Linux. I've put DSL on much older machines with a full snappy GUI experience.
