I've heard that an NFC alternative to ApplePay & Google{Pay|Wallet} is Curve Pay, but sadly it requires KYC (while the former ones don't). Do you know if Walt will require KYC too? It's not clear from their website.

If I remember correctly in their newsletter they mentioned that they will, as it was unavoidable. But I'm talking from memory, that email is long gone from my inbox.

the problem I had with Curve is that this privacy policy is a bit trash, and their DPO was unresponsive when I tried to exercise some of my GDPR rights

Yeah but it's sufficient for the largest part of CI needs. Most people are making CRUD apps, 6 9s reliability is not required there.

not really, I've ran into Github Action downtime and you can't run tests or anything so either you wait or you just let stuff merge

You can do pipelined option/result manipulation now, but without sum types/pattern matching it's not going to be quite as useful as Rust's.
