We've all lost the plot

Whatever I need it to do for my current project. Right now, a crawler for a relatively niche search engine.

If you open a terminal in their IDEs, top right button, Claude Code, enable MCP. For me, it's the best mix of the two worlds.

I had to unsub from search after a year. Catalan searches are worse than Google's, unfortunately.

Do you still consider this an IDE? Curious

more than anything it's valid enough as a frame of reference for what many people want to do. if they went and invented a new term for it i'd reckon a lot of people just wouldn't even click on it

yes, this is tricky and something we’ve struggled with too. We chose IDE because the closest comp is probably VSCode - lots of folks seem to just use it for code browsing / review these days!

regardless, we ended up renaming “ide” -> “canvas” in on gh + website. hope that’s less confusing. will mull it over in the meantime.

CC with Jetbrain's IDE MCPs. get rid of those greps, seds, awks, heads and tails!

I have been having huge success with CC and HTMX+Go. Not even tailwind. It made me never want to touch React again; it eased my way into the simpler stuff.

I remember doing this at uni, networking labs

They seem to be a top brand in sailing for now, still. But they did move to a subscription for their Navionics charts.
