The Android client has been reproducible for quite some time, instructions right in the repo.

Signal developer here: we should retry with reasonable backoff for 24 hours before showing a delivery failure. If that's not your experience, please file a bug if you get the time!

Thank you for all you do. All of my grandparents joined Signal to message me and they have no issues for the most part. Although, one of them didn't know to press the download icon on photos I sent. I'm not sure why they weren't downloaded automatically.

Also please accept cryptocurrency for buying username-based accounts. The overlap between people that want to buy an account and those that want to use a fully identified payment method is not a lot.

I actually just hate Jira :) It's horrendously slow for what it does, the search is mediocre at best, and I regularly run into bugs.

Yeah, my company has a simple, straight-forward system, but I still dread using Jira. And I love Linear, so it's not general ticket management system hate! Jira just sucks.

Can confirm. Every job I've seen it at, whatever form it takes, is consistently horrible.

With Signal, the biggest issue we have is that review times are extremely inconsistent. Sometimes it's 4 hours, sometimes it's 5 days, and there's no visibility as to why. Our working theory is that there's automated and manual queues, and occasionally, for whatever reason, we fall into the manual queue. But when you work on an app that has weekly updates, randomly getting hit with a review time of several days really throws off your groove. And it can obviously be terrible for moments where you're fixing a critical issue.

Thank you for Signal <3

I can imagine Apple probably has an automated review of a diff, and probably makes a manual review anytime a system API call changes

As someone who also has to deal with the review process on the Playstore, I feel your pain. Reviews timelines have been all over the place for the past year.

I greatly appreciate that I can now get Signal via Obtainium directly from your VCS. It feels like I am sometimes even getting multiple weekly updates.

Has it ever happened where your submission goes to review and then just sits in the "In Review" state for many days? I am talking 4-5 days? or sometimes longer than a week? And then it gets approved?

That's been happening randomly to me.

I agree with this. I had a production Play Store submission approved within 4 hours last week. It feels so random.

And you specifically have an F91W? In pitch black, it maybe illuminates 2/3 of the screen for me. I can't imagine using it as a flashlight! But mine is newer, maybe the older ones have better lights.

Yes, F-91W still on its first battery. It's not a great flashlight, but it allows me to find back into bed and not run into anything

I initially had the same concerns, but while it looks 3D printed, it feels great. I don't mind it at all.

While many have ethical issues with GitHub, my understanding is that the current wave of people leaving are doing so because of _reliability_ reasons.
