No, the server is just sending the file named 'foo.jpg', but encoded as a webp with webp mime type, so when you save the file it defaults to the webp extension cause it ends up treating the filename as a blob of text without an expected extension for the file type.
Better known brands are starting to drop zigbee for matter (Ikea has moved, the last aqara zigbee device I bought required me to get an aqara matter hub and flash the firmware through their app to switch it to zigbee from matter).
It's feeling like for more devices I'm stuck with unknown aliexpress products (I know behind the scenes they're mostly the same devices but I'm generally okay paying a bit more to get a known company with some known QA level for these types of things).
I bought some of the new Ikea smart lightbulbs that use Matter-over-Thread instead of zigbee. When I tried to use them with my home assistant setup, I discovered that the pairing process involved using a smartphone to take a picture of a QR code and then doing some kind of complex syncing process that ended up failing because I use GrapheneOS on my phone and the syncing process required Google services. I ended up returning them and buying Zigbee smart lightbulbs instead from a competitor.

You keep all your shows in a single directory? or just sorted into folders per show?
I haven't had any issues with files just sorted into show folders for shorter series, but even in general it's very un-particular about filenames as long as you have ` () SE` (and it accepts a decent number of formats for season/episode number, and year is usually only needed if you need to differentiate shows with the same name).
