What's up with the "V"? I've seen a couple of your comments that have a lone V at the end of the comment or paragraph.

peace V

I guess its a substitute for "just so you know" or "fyi" or any other "I'm an authority on something" ending. :D

Is that common in your area/culture? I have never seen it before. I'm not sure if most people know what you are trying to convey.

It was more common when emoticons were ANSI characters.

Now that everyone has bitmap emojis, not so much.

I end up with B sometimes because I use iPhone double-space to get a period and accidentally triple space but I miss the third and hit B. Maybe V is the same.

Awesome! Technology to the rescue. Glad it's not just me.

They wrote about restoring a Ithaca model 37 last year. The post is also really good:

When I read "lovely graphics" I was expecting visualizations or images. I was curious so I scrolled through your screenshots and I didn't see any, just a lot of text screens. By graphics did you mean GUI text formatting?

I guess I'm mainly just talking about typography, nice interactions and movements, designed layout of information, rather than pictures. But it is interesting at this point to start thinking about what could be shown graphically.

The original ones came with a USB C Y cable that allowed you to connect to the computer but get power from an alternate USB source. They also have beards on the board for DC power.

That was a style then. It may not be your thing or mine, but it's not puzzling that someone was caught up in a fashion style of the times.
