Fractional reserve banking but for Bitcoin.

No, it is open for as long as these certificates are trusted.

When a significant portion of devices are patched (including gui apps on mac), pulling off an MITM without detection is pretty much impossible. That would be usual culprits of telco, ISP, or public wifi. That's what I mean by the window has closed. Anyone attempting is taking significant risk of being detected; at least in my neck of the woods would be illegal to do as well.

This was a decision I made in my old job, seems to be proved correct.

This is already the case for Go.

Do you have a link? Think I missed this one.

I think you can also track down a 60 Minutes episode covering this on YouTube.

And I guess he was both CIA and DIA at one point.

Oh yeah I remember this guy. Amazing work.

> Even for very tattooed people, can be quite liberal with it.

Is this true for all heavily tattooed people, or are they more understanding if you're not Japanese?

In my anecdote, the tattooed person was Asian but non-Japanese. We did this several times, but of course it's still a small sample size, so take this with a pinch of salt.

The medium article was enthralling, thanks for sharing it.

The readme and commit messages were written by an LLM without disclosure. I didn't look at the code.

Do you need to disclose it when everybody do it ?

[EDIT] It is disclosed in contributors
