It's not impressive, it's just a fun thing to show people who learned traditionally and never thought to question the commutativity of the syntax (or whether it is commutative at all)
Ran into this issue when self-hosting, so I just bumped my existing ProtonMail subscription to a business one which allows for mail forwarding. It's quite easy to set up and I've been pretty happy about deliverability for a year+ now
