A simple browser extension that makes reading comments pages like this one much easier: clearly marks new threads (and threads with new child comments) since last opened, and makes collapsing / uncollapsing threads easier and prettier: https://github.com/bachmitre/hacker-news-comments

Comment reading is done with a sidebar from the listing pages without needing to go to individual item pages.
