Congrats on launch! gVisor for memory sharing + Hetzner is clever for cost. How's cold boot time for free tier users?

It's the same fore free vs paid users, around 200-300 ms if it's warm. The free users are only limited by number of hours we give per week. And often if they're a regular user it's still warm

Cold depends on the storage size. So a few seconds on average if it's not too big

Clever approach for agent debugging. Visual cues > logs when multiple agents run. How do you handle overlapping annotations?

Slow software that works for 10 years beats fast software that breaks in 10 months. Choosing boring tech is underrated.

How about fast software that works for 10 years?

The difference between an academic and an engineer is that the engineer understands that time spent in research and design does not magically justify itself. Quality and time-to-market are both important and to be an engineer is to figure out how to deliver along the optimal frontier.

Lightweight + Apache 2.0 is a great combo. Most multimodal embeddings are too heavy for on-device / self-hosted use. Nice to see Google pushing this.

Open-weight at 501B is huge. What was the eval setup - was web search disabled to test generalization?

Interesting overview. I’m curious how these plant-based replacements hold up on durability and moisture resistance long-term vs petroleum plastics, especially for packaging and outdoor use.

Self-hosting pi pods makes sense for us too. How are you handling network isolation between pods?

Curious about Vulkan overhead on Intel vs AMD/Nvidia for long context. Any benchmarks vs vllm/sglang?

This is beautiful — handling 526k asteroids in real-time is insane. Is this Canvas or WebGL under the hood?

WebGL2, no engine.

Got it — pure WebGL2. For the JPL set, are you caching it in IndexedDB or refetching? 30 MB each load would be heavy.

Service worker cache, so repeat visits download nothing. Fresh catalogs come in the background once a day.

The practicality of Racket is interesting; sometimes a language wins simply because its ecosystem makes certain tasks much easier.
