It already had a collar with the owners details. They could have just contacted them.

Worth checking out Yaak too: https://yaak.app/

I can't remember why I settled on this over Bruno, but its much better than dealing with Postman.

MooTools. Also, I fondly remember YUI Library that Yahoo created.

YUI library was amazing and all the Yahoo coding stuff, it is sad they were all just discarded because it was not financially viable.

Comaps also has offline wikipedia entries. So you can be on a hill, and read about the iron age fort that was once there.

It lasted whilst it was still in living memory

Like I said, not very long.

That's amazing, thank you. I love that you can export JSON, edit it in your favourite text editor and then import it back. Its exactly what I want.

For the cheap stuff, I usually find the quality better and sometimes lower prices by going to a shop like Home Bargains or B&M. Thats UK specific but I'm guessing there must be these sort of shops in the US too.

Wikipedia describes them as variety stores and has a list here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variety_store#North_America

> Both have a pattern where they might list let’s say an MP3 player which costs $30 but the price on the listing will be $3 because one of the product variants is just the case.

eBay do that too. Really annoying. Some day I'll make a browser extension to highlight it.

There's a scene from Back to the Future, where 1955 doc notices that one of the failed circuits says Made in Japan. Marty then points out that all the best stuff is made in Japan.

How did you find your sourcing agent?

I asked DeepSeek believe it or not and it recommended YanChao (formerly Gonest.cn).

I've had an "ok" experience so far. Not amazing, but not horrendous either. I kinda suspect it's just the specific staff member that has been assigned to me, and maybe a different member of personnel might provide a slightly better experience, but as I say, it's not been horrendous or truly awful. Just a little lacking. I generally find the Chinese to be far more eager to please and provide a good service but I think these guys are a little inundated so it's hard to keep up.
