I've been using the unofficial Garmin APIs as well, but instead of an MCP I wrote an app that waits until my watch syncs after I wake up and then grabs all of yesterdays data and puts it into a Notion db.

It's been working great. The Claude morning brief compares my sleep, HRV, training status, calendar, and weather and then tells me when and how hard to workout that day.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted. There are some very AI-style sentences in this article. GPTZero says "We are highly confident this text was human written and polished with AI"

We've entered the "AI is good and inevitable and only pretentious people would write their own words" phase of the forum.

I think we've entered the "people claiming other things is AI is getting old" phase of the forum.

Personally I don't care if it's AI generated or AI assisted. I didn't get any obvious AI tells, and arguing over whether or not it's AI generated doesn't seem to be relevant to the actual topic - strangers telling a man to kill himself based on a contextless TikTok video is not ok.

The topic is "the author could be a professional writer." I'm not allowed to say no, she couldn't? I wouldn't have mentioned AI if not for that.

Plenty of people who use AI to write get paid to write. The bar isn't "used AI" vs "not used AI," it's "does the author make the point succinctly in a way that is entertaining" which, IME, is not something that AI can one-shot. The fact that so many people found her writing entertaining and meaningful means that she either prompted the LLM well enough to elicit those emotions, or she wrote them herself. Regardless, she succeeded in her goal.

Oof maybe I'm losing my ai-dar. This didn't rub me the wrong way on phrasing.
