I thought superpowers was the coolest thing for about 1 day. Then the endless approval prompts and huge time increase killed it for me. I'm finding Opus 5.5 does a pretty thorough job without anything like superpowers. What would I be getting from superlite that Opus 5.5 doesn't do by itself already, and are those things actually important, or do they mostly only serve to give you peace of mind?

My opinion is that it’s a lot like the brief trend for describing yourself as a prompt engineer when getting images out of models like DALL-E 2.

Yeah, for five minutes you needed to use a specific style, very specific language patterns and what have you, in order to get results that were a cut above. But then the models and the harnesses got better and that moment passed.

I do like the brainstorm mode as I find that having a though partner walk me through the phase of speccing things out often shapes and reshapes my understanding of the problem. And that enhances the quality of what comes out the other end.

There are other ways to achieve this same effect without loading the full superpowers suite though.

But does that mode offer anything you can't get just by giving Claude a vague problem statement and then telling it to ask you clarifying questions? I agree that this can be a productive way of working with an agent, but with the latest models and harnesses you can work this way naturally without any special configuration.

From my post: "There are other ways to achieve this same effect without loading the full superpowers suite though."

People’s bullshit detectors have gone off on the launch of basically every single billion dollar tech company. That’s the downside of being early. No one believes it will work. If everyone believed it, you’re late. I’m sure I could find a comment such this, basically verbatim, on the launch post of every successful startup to come out of YC.

I'm sure all of them have a few skeptics. I'm not sure if any of the successful launches here were this negative.

This does not mean that any launch which ignites people’s bullshit detectors is successful.

Yes and an infinitesimal number of launches turn into billion dollar companies. The bullshit detectors are usually right.

Startups fail by default. It doesn't make the pessimists correct. What I have noticed though it that successful startups are rarely, if ever, run by pessimists.

OP isn't criticizing the practise of leaving to renew. He's criticizing the this new policy of not letting you back in when you leave.

You obviously weren't in high school at the time the OC was on. Everybody watched it. I don't think I've ever viewed Ben as anyone other than Ryan Atwood ever since.

The first two seasons were really good. So good it kinda surprised me on a rewatch. After that it went downhill though.

I can not imagine it holds up well ...

Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do .. California here we come ... Right just where were coming from ....

i know him as from the tv show but only watched a few episodes. he has done many movies and journalism now. not everyone has to be an OC superfan.

Perphaps Ryan was scammed by Volchok

You clearly missed Southland.

I didn't. Ryan Atwood was great in Southland.
