How many seems like an irrelevant question to me. If there are such software domains at all, Zig may be a compelling alternative to languages that don't have a standard library that lets you choose an allocation strategy freely.

I also disagree that this is "the focus" of Zig. Technically speaking it seems like a rather minor design choice for the standard library.

“rapidly” - how long has it been?

We hired 3 experienced app developers a few months ago. That's now our app development team working on overhauling these apps. They've already replaced the entire Messaging app user interface with a new modern Compose UI. Messaging v13 is currently in the Alpha channel and v14 is on the way with a bunch of additional fixes needed for it to reach Beta and Stable. Multiple other apps including Contacts are well into the same overhaul process.

That might be valid (but not really) if those other OEMs actually didn’t delay the features and bug fixes themselves.

Your time must not be valuable to you, which is a very limited perspective.

No one says graphene os doesn’t exist, or the developers don’t exist, just that their opinions don’t matter because they are a miniscule fraction of the market. 2% of active devices drives no decisions at Google.

Many people bought Pixel because they saw it in a store or online. A few people bought Pixel because it was supposed to represent the leading edge of Android and it still does. Almost no one bought Pixel for AOSP reasons or even know what AOSP is.

That's usually reserved for iPhones and Samsungs. Pixels have a tiny marketshare compared to Apple and Samsung. The GP is right when they say a significant portion of buyers bought a Pixel believing Google's claim that it was the 'purest' Android experience since it was a reference AOSP device.
