I regularly hit 200-300M cached reads every day on some of the models I use. It has exceeded 7-800M on a couple of occasions. At $0.04/M, that is $8-12 per day only for cached reads.

Unless you meant step-3.7-flash, the input cache hits are $0.05 per mil for step-5-preview.

Pretty decent "API" rates for ~500M+ tokens on Step Fun 5, a Kimi K3 / GLM 5.3 level model?

Their "Step Plan" is ridiculous, by comparison: ~$60 usage on $6.99/mo; ~$220 on $9.99/mo. https://platform.stepfun.ai/docs/en/step-plan/overview

Yes, I meant the Flash version.

I have used Kimi 2.5 and GLM 5.3 (& 5.3 Flash). Do not need them for what I do outside of spec hardening (basically, a lot of chatting).

I tend to know exactly what I want and most of the weaker models are enough to get me there. I have mainly been using MiMo, DeepSeek V4 Flash and MuseSpark Contributor over the last month or so.

Not generous enough? How token efficient and fast is it compared with American models?

I've been working on a vocal pitch-and-time editor called PitchDance, something like Melodyne. It works both as standalone software or a plug-in for your DAW. The idea is to make software like this more accessible by selling at a much cheaper price than the majors, and only competitors I could find on the market.

https://www.pitchdance.com/

Btw, currently I'm looking for some people to test the software, so if you're interested let me know and I'll give you a free license.

I would be interested to test it. Melodyne also supports something like stem splitting where it can work on a master FWIR. But it would be interesting to see how this fares on non-vocal instruments and how the sound is like, even if it only works on isolated tracks.

I'm also wondering if you've considered some music theory functions like for example highlighting the midi grid along to some scale, which would allow "snap to" (next in key note). If you're curious, I have familiarity with this end of things so feel free to pick my brain.

Thanks for your reply! I've sent you an email (from the website in your HN bio).

I would suggest investing a little time in your website UI, it screams LLM generated right away and I can’t get an immediate sense of what the actual UI might look like right away. I really like the first animation but it’s unclear if that’s what the UI is or if that’s just a pitch correction generic animation.

Just a little bit of human-touch design in the website could go a long way towards the trust of the software. For example melodyne’s website shows me their (arguably outdated) UI right on the main page. I already know what they do as most will with a pitch correction software, so they just have a short blurb, an image of their actual product, and some links. Not saying you should copy this exactly, but if I’m looking around for something other than the industry standard I need to know I can trust it and I need to know what it looks like without downloading it first.

Thanks for the feedback! Will definitely take into account. This is still very much an early version, and so there is a lot of work still to be done. But the feedback is good, thanks.
