I think the name probably has to do with this research from Microsoft (same people involved and a lot of similarities in the way it's conceived.

Seems more like many heads -> one head and someone thinking it's clever.

But could be your thing too obviously.


Considering the people thanked in the article are the same who wrote the paper I linked, and the similar mechanisms, it's more than likely
