The "Autopilot" argument is ~5 years old. Teslas no longer have that feature.
The current FSD system has no relation to the old Autopilot, is enormously better, and very pleasant to use. A year ago FSD was nice, but I had to take over occasionally. This year it's much better, and I've yet to see a weakness, aside from some parking issues.
Yes, a "Full Self Driving" system which is not fully self-driving is certainly an improvement over an autopilot that does not auto-pilot. Ain't progress grand.
